One of the most well-known online education brands sought our services to launch link-building campaigns for some of their high-priority pages.
Our client initially engaged three different companies, and after a trial period, we emerged as the top performer in terms of quality and consistency.
💡 Our Analysis and Strategy
We examined key competitors in the space to understand the types of links they were receiving to competing pages, considering both the link context and the types of websites and people linking to them.
Subsequently, we developed structured outreach campaigns to promote each topic page individually.
👉 Formulating Outreach Campaigns
We categorized the people we targeted into different ‘types’ – such as blog posts discussing learning resources, or resource pages specifically aiming to link to high-quality learning resources.
We then tested various outreach templates to determine the most effective ones, based on initial response and the crucial follow-up response rate.
Anchor Text Strategy
When working with ethical outreach tactics, it’s very challenging to control the anchor text, as editors and website owners will choose their own.
👉 Anchor Text Optimization Strategy
Over time, we significantly enhanced our anchor text strategy. Initially, it was challenging to obtain targeted (unbranded) anchor text on links, as webmasters tend to use branded anchor text when left to their own devices.
We developed methods to encourage them to use some descriptive anchor text around our target keywords, as the linking text is the primary way Google understands the destination page, which helps improve rankings for those keywords.

Over the course of 2 years, we achieved remarkable results.

For the target pages we actively built links for, we saw a significant improvement in search results, with over 100% increase in traffic for every page.
This was particularly noteworthy as the pages already had a strong amount of traffic, so a 100%+ increase was substantial.

The Conclusions
This was one of our more demanding projects in recent times, mainly because the career and job market is highly competitive, with major players and websites that have been around for decades.
However, it demonstrates that if you can produce distinctive and insightful content, and complement it with highly relevant niche links, you can indeed become a contender in seemingly ‘saturated’ industries.
